Boy group Boyfriend will appear on a reality program.
On January 10, cable channel Mnet said the reality program Boyfriend’s W Academy will feature Boyfriend who are working hard to become the next leaders in Korean Wave.
The program will air the new idol group Boyfriend, who has great potential to become a world famous group and take the country by storm. Mnet has aired several reality programs about Korea’s representative idol groups, including, SNSD, 2PM, Big Bang, and 2NE1.
In the first episode of the program, Boyfriend members will take a foreign language test and a physical strength test, which are essential for becoming worldwide stars. Each member will show off their abilities in English, Japanese, and Thai. The show will also air footage from their house.
The production crew for the show said, “Through the show, we want to promote K-pop and produce the next Hallyu star. Boyfriend members will become real men in the show.”
The show will start airing on January 13 at 6:00 p.m.
